Alison Crouch is the owner of Boomerang Pilates and Wellness. She and her colleagues teach a variety of movement classes, including Pilates, Nutritious Movement™ and MamaMoves perinatal program. They also offer private instruction.
After years of hearing about each other via mutual clients, Alison and I first met for tea in 2012. We immediately hit if off. I was preparing for my Restorative Exercise certification at the time; she was intrigued and enrolled in the program too.
In 2014, I changed my day off so that I could attend her Friday morning class. It’s challenging but fun and a group head out for coffee afterward to continue the banter.
One of the things I appreciate most about Alison’s classes is her ability to read the group and quickly shift gears if she feels we need something other than what she had planned. She’s also able to put the exercises into the context of our daily activities.
This quote sums up what Alison, and Boomerang, is all about:
“My job is to help you live your life with ease and freedom from pain and injury, your job is to go out there and live it!
All our classes have, in their own way, this goal: to support you to live your life with health, strength, balance and confidence!”
She’s recently added a Friday Night Special class that combines whole body alignment and The Roll Model Method™ with Yoga Tune Up® balls. A perfect opportunity to get you all relaxed, revived and ready for the weekend!
Boomerang Pilates is at 240 Roncesvalles, within the beautiful, 100-year-old Emmanuel-Howard Park United Church building.
