Carol is a reformed Pilates instructor, who now practices and teaches Restorative Exercise (certified by Nutritious Movement™). She was an amateur dressage rider for 30 years and started teaching Pilates over 15 years ago. Carol has studied with many of the top anatomy and movement educators so is very well versed in both subjects.
We first met in the boarding lounge of Toronto Pearson International Airport in 2013. We were en route to Ventura, California for our RE Certification. Carol, her colleagues Adrienne Soles and Eileen Birks, and I were the first group from Toronto. We bonded over calf stretches, toe lifts, and psoas releases. It’s amazing how much you can move in an airport and on an airplane when you put our mind to it.
Before that day, we had connected online working through the self-directed coursework. I was impressed by her knowledge and her sense of humour. Since then I look forward to reading her aptly named blog, The Alignment REScue. It’s brilliant! One of my favourite posts is the very cheeky Clamshells My Ass!
Carol has recently returned from Sequim, Washington, the home of Nutritious Movement™, where she has begun teaching certification candidates. I’m sure she was selected not only for her teaching expertise but also because she exemplifies a natural movement lifestyle.
You can find Carol at her studio in the east end of Toronto where she teaches both private and group sessions, including a prenatal class. She is also available for Skype sessions. My clients who have worked with her are very pleased. Contact Carol directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
